Rose Butler’s digital short ‘Box’ to be screened on Visual Container TV from Wednesday 26 July 2017

Sheffield Hallam University Senior Lecturer and Research Scholar in Fine Art Rose Butler will have her digital short Box screened online on VisualContainerTV.

The short will screen between 26 July and 01 September

Photographed on a 1920’s box camera and created from a film printed in its entirety – including the gaps between the images. This animation includes all the miss-prints imperfections, accidents and chance integral to early photography, alongside the final images. Box details a journey from Sheffield to London and back again.

VisualContainerTV is the screen to the contemporary videoart world in real time and available to all enthusiast and professional audiences, online 24/7 with special monthly exhibitions. The webTV is entirely devoted to the international videoart world and welcoming videoart projects and festivals under the care of curators and festival directors, interview and monograph programs on invitation only.

Rose Butler is an artist, researcher and senior lecturer of Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University, she works with video, photography, sound, animation and installation. She is a Doctoral Researcher registered in C3RI and sponsored by the SHU Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Scheme. She is also a board member of Bloc Projects, Sheffield and a freelance artist mentor.
