Everything Flows Artist Talk – Rose Butler and Ryan Mosley
Millennium Gallery
Sheffield
13 July 2017
1PM – 1.45PM

No need to book, free admission.

Rose Butler and Ryan Mosley will introduce their work in the exhibition Everything Flows and put it in the context of their broader practice.

Rose Butler works with the material qualities of the image made with film, photography and audio. Her artworks, installations and interventions reference and weave political, spatial and fictional histories, to create cultural commentary.

Motivated by a sense of the carnivalesque, Ryan Mosley’s canvases offer up a surreal world of invented characters and rituals that are simultaneously archaic and futuristic. Mosley develops his theatrical subjects through a spontaneous approach to painting.

For further information about the event please see here.

Curated by Jeanine Griffin, the exhibition includes work by Paul Barlow, Rose Butler, Joseph Cutts, Natalie Finnemore, Ruth Levene, Victoria Lucas, Peter Martin, Ryan Mosley and Ian Nesbitt, along with screening programmes/ events curated by Annexinema and Joseph Cutts & Ashley Holmes.

Everything Flows forms part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
