Rose Butler’s short film ‘Fish’ screening in Vintage Mobile Cinema as part of Hull’s ‘This Way Up’ – 07/08 November 2017

Fine Art Research Scholar Rose Butler’s short film Fish will be screened at the This Way Up, the UK film exhibitors’ conference taking place this year in Hull on 07 and 08 November with support from The British Council as partner of Hull City of Culture 2017. Across both days of the conference, a selection of short films will be screened in Audrey, the elegant Vintage Mobile Cinema outside of Hull Truck Theatre.

Fish will be screened as part of a selection of artists’ moving image from ten years of the One Minute project: artists’ moving image selected, screened and distributed by Hull based artist filmmaker and curator Kerry Baldry. The One Minutes are an eclectic mix of approaches, techniques, media and processes, all having one thing in common – that they have been edited within the time limit of sixty seconds.

Rose Butler is an artist, researcher and senior lecturer of Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University, she works with video, photography, sound, animation and installation. She is a full-time Doctoral Researcher, registered in C3RI and sponsored by the SHU Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Scheme. She is also a board member of Bloc Projects and a freelance artist mentor.
