Book Launch – Tuesday 19 September: ‘UFO Drawings From the National Archives’ by Dr David Clarke

Dr David Clarke, Principal Research Fellow in Journalism in the Communications and Computing Research Centre, was recently invited by art book publisher, Four Corners Books to produce a book of UFO drawings.

An expert in UFO history and Britain’s so-called ‘X-Files’, David has selected images from The National Archives to present a visual history of British UFO art.  The book reveals the remarkable stories behind these images, including an alien craft on the A1, flying saucers over Hampstead, and a spaceship landing at a primary school in Macclesfield.

UFO Drawings From The National Archives is part of the Four Corners Irregulars, a series about modern British visual history. Three books will be published in autumn 2017, with further titles to follow, presenting introductions to important but overlooked areas of creativity.

The National Archives is the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. It works to bring together and secure the future of the public record, both digital and physical, for future generations.

Four Corners Books will host a book launch for UFO Drawings from the National Archives by Dr David Clarke on Tuesday 19 September at The Astronomer in Bishopsgate, central London.
