Seating plans – who is sitting where in your temporary workspace ?

DecantFloorPlans

The schedule for moving out of the Adsetts Centre is beginning to firm up. This is known as the decant phase of the project and involves moving all staff from level 7 and the offices on levels 2,3, 5 and 6 into temporary accommodation to enable the building work to take place.

Just to recap on the temporary locations….

  • Leadership Group, Business Relationship Managers, Research and Management Services Teams will be moving to Unit 1 in the Science Park
  • Library Resources Metadata and Acquisitions Teams, plus the new Head of Service, Steve Sharpe will be moving to the office spaces on Level 6
  • Library Support, Skills, Systems, Document Delivery and Learning and Teaching Teams will be relocating to a suite of rooms on Level 10 in the Owen Building.

There’s still some work ongoing around the decant, but the locations above have been agreed. So now we need to start finalising the details.

The first step is to agree a layout and seating plan for each of the rooms and this needs to be done by 24 March 2017.

Why so soon ? Well, although the decant isn’t due to start for a month or so, Estates need to do some work in preparation for the moves – they need to check and install power and data in the rooms, and make sure this is in the correct location and they need to undertake various building surveys. We need to agree room layouts now so this work can take place.

Julia Shakespeare and  Claire Lambert will be working on this with  the Head of Service for each area , so you can feed any comments back to them.
