Office-supplies2

Following on from the Meetings Julia and myself are having with team’s regarding getting ready for the Decant, we thought we would send out some (hopefully) useful information regarding .

For those offices who have accumulated a collection of stationery, which you’re not wanting to take with you to your temporary home, if its new and unused you can bring to Level 7 to be added back into the general stationery supply. You can leave these in the box next to the Stationery cupboard, near lift no. 55 to be sorted and put away.

Please note that we don’t want part used books, pens, pencils etc (basically we only want things people will want to take and use!)

Also on the no thank you list are plastic desk trays and stationery holders/pots – these tend to get left to go dusty in cupboard somewhere and we don’t have storage to keep them.

Lever Arch Files, Ring Binders, Box Files & plastic pockets in good condition can be emptied and brought to Management Service office 6719, to be recycled through the student body.

There are currently Recycling Tubby bins and Mixed Waste Tubby bins on Level 6 and 7 Adsetts. (if you notice that they are full up, please drop me an email and I’ll get them emptied)

Recycling Tubby

Takes the same items as recycling bin;

  •  Paper (not confidential waste – this should be put through the shredder or put in a confidential waste bag, which you can order through FD customer   Services)
  •  Cardboard (including notebook covers if metal ring binding spine has been removed)
  •  Hard Plastic – including hard hats
  •  Glass (unbroken) – not light bulbs
  •  Tins/ Cans (empty and clean)
  •  Magazines/ Journals/ Manuals
  • No electrical items/ light bulbs or aerosols

Stationery

  •  Hard plastic folders (with no metal) e.g. magazine files can be put into the recycling tubby
  •  Paper folders can be put into the recycling tubby
  •  Broken ring binders should be put in the general waste unless the metal has separated, in which case the cover can be put in the recycling and metal should be put in the general waste
  •  Clear plastic wallets (from inside ring binders) if in good condition can be returned to Management Services office to give to students. Otherwise can be put in general waste (Cannot be recycled)
  •  Plastic Desk trays and the metal spacers go in the general waste
  •  Functioning stationery items (e.g. hole punch/ stapler etc) to be returned to stationery cupboard
