The Academic Development & Diversity Team are delighted to launch its online\u00a0Autumn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme<\/strong><\/span>. All the events are free and open to both Academic and Professional Services staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key highlights of the CPD programme include:<\/span><\/p>\n

New Race Equity programme<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Part of our continuing work, introducing staff to key conversations about race and changing cultures which\u202fthe\u00a0NUS\/UUK report identifies as one of the five key steps<\/a>\u202fto closing the degree awarding gap. Drawing on a range of sources including existing literature, sector practice and work currently being undertaken at Hallam, we aim to engage staff in interactive, reflective practices which will provide a foundation for developing an inclusive and dynamic teaching and learning environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking place during November and December, topics include \u2018 Why Race? and Other Stories\u2019, \u2018Race Equality Detours\u2019, \u2018Developing our Cultural Competence\u202f\u2019, \u2018Developing Cultural Competence in Students\u2019 and \u2018Closing the Attitude Gap\u2019. TALENT Professional Recognition scheme<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Book here for our regular\u00a0development workshops and writing retreats<\/a>\u00a0for staff wishing to apply for Higher Education Academy Fellowship through the University\u2019s accredited TALENT scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n

Digital Thursdays programme<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

More sessions have been added to this series of digital development opportunities for staff including themes on Blackboard Annotate (for online marking), Blackboard Ally and MS Teams and much more.
