This information will also enable us to target professional development opportunities to support you in your role, e.g. the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advance-he.ac.uk\/degree-standards-project\">Degree Standards Project<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">To add your information, log on to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.corehr.com\/pls\/coreportal_shup\/cp_por_public_main_page.display_login_page\">Core Portal:<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Click on \u2018My Profile\u2019 (your photo)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Select &#8216;Other Information&#8217; on the drop down list, followed by &#8216;External Examiners of Courses&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Click on the blue \u2018ADD\u2019 button in the top right hand corner to update the institution, subject area, tenure and course type for your external examiner role. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">It&#8217;s simple to do and should only take a couple of minutes.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If you have any queries, please email: <a href=\"mailto:academicdevelopmentdiversity@shu.ac.uk\">academicdevelopmentdiversity@shu.ac.uk<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being an external examiner is an important means of ensuring academic standards across the sector and provides valuable insights into academic practices at other institutions.
