This behaviour not only undermines the quality and integrity of the degree,\u00a0it undermines the entire educational system.<\/h3>\n<h3>About the session<\/h3>\n<p>To support awareness of contract cheating, this workshop will provide an opportunity for\u00a0you to consider:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>what constitutes contract cheating<\/li>\n<li>whether it\u2019s a problem at SHU<\/li>\n<li>why students resort to contract cheating<\/li>\n<li>how it can be detected<\/li>\n<li>what we can do to deter students from using these services<\/li>\n<li>how assessments can be designed to reduce the opportunities for contract cheating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Who is it for?<\/h3>\n<p>The session\u00a0is aimed at all\u00a0academic staff\u00a0who are involved in teaching and marking\u00a0student work, as well as those who advise students on academic skills and university regulations. It is a valuable opportunity to share your own experience and practices and contribute to a cross-university conversation on this important issue.<\/p>\n<h3>What next?<\/h3>\n<p>The session will support your understanding of what contract cheating is,\u00a0what causes it and what support and resources are available to help you to identify and address cases.
