not directly involved with a course and who can provide independent and impartial comment and input to a course design, its management, monitoring, evaluation, and review. The workshop is co-delivered by college staff who are experienced EEs and who provide their perspective on the role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Our interactive workshops are designed for staff who have not done External Examining before and would like to find out more.\u00a0 The workshops will cover:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">What institutions will be looking for in the appointment of EEs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">How to find out about EE opportunities and the application process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Insider views of the EE role in practice and will\u00a0include inputs from experienced EEs at Hallam, and an institutional perspective from Academic Quality and Standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">How to maximise your contribution as an EE.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">You will have the opportunity to receive peer feedback on your profile in relation to a typical call for an EE.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">You will also participate in a mock assessment board.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Prior to attending one of our workshop activities<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Prepare and complete a brief\u00a0Expression of Interest(EoI) for a hypothetical External Examining appointment and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Bring three copies of your EoL\u00a0to the workshop \u2013 you do not need to bring a CV.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">During the workshop you will receive Peer Feedback on your EoI. We don\u2019t expect you to have a polished text \u2013 bullet points are fine: the purpose is to get feedback on your profile in relation to external examining. The exercise will help you to think about the range of experience you have that will be valuable and valued in an External Examining role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">In addition, we\u2019ll ask you to view a short video &#8211;
