The\u00a0Academic Development & Diversity (ADD) team<\/strong><\/span> work with Hallam staff to build confidence, capability and capacity to ensure all our students have a distinctive learning experience provided through an inclusive and applied curriculum. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is achieved through building academic and digital competencies, capability and capacity so that our academic community are equipped to deliver a diverse and applied educational offer to all our students. <\/span>We do this in a variety of ways;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Academic Essentials<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

Working with key stakeholders, we manage the content in Academic Essentials<\/a>, as a ‘one stop shop’ for academic staff. <\/span><\/p>\n

This also covers all associated academic resources and guidance including resources from past events<\/a>.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Academic Profile and Development<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

We deliver and host on behalf of our key stakeholders, a range of professional development (CPD) that include;<\/span><\/p>\n

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

We see ourselves as being part of, and supporting colleagues within, a community which brings together all stakeholders to consider the shared goals and common interests of inclusion and belonging<\/a>.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Hallam Guild<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

Working with our stakeholders to cultivate inclusive communities of practice<\/a> across Hallam staff and students, being the incubator of innovative practice regarding our teaching and learning and scaling up and embedding good practice.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

To provide information and resources with the aim to support our academic colleagues in embedding the Hallam Model<\/a> principles in their courses.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Students as Partners<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

Working with key stakeholders across the university, how we engage with students<\/a> takes many forms and here we’ll highlight some of the valuable work from across the community.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

TALENT<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

There is an expectation that all staff who teach students or support their learning can evidence a high level of teaching competence. One of the ways that this competence can be expressed is by formal recognition through Advance HE fellowship; the TALENT scheme<\/a> therefore aims to provide a variety of pathways through which all staff associated with student learning can gain fellowship.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
