Advance HE are producing a series of podcasts ‘in conversation’ with a range of guest speakers, looking at how the identity of Black, Asian and Minority staff and students impacts and influences their experience of higher education. The first episode ‘What’s in a name?” is available now.
An independent report summarising the findings from the OfS Addressing Barriers to Student Success programme has been published. Between March 2017 and October 2019, the £7.5 million programme funded 17 projects across the country, focusing on addressing gaps in educational and employment outcomes of students from the lowest socioeconomic backgrounds and for black, Asian and minority ethnic students by supporting student belonging and engagement with higher education, and consequently participation, retention and attainment.
