Call for Expressions of Interest – National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) & Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) 2022
We are pleased to invite initial Expressions of Interest from staff/teams who are interested in being selected by the University as a 2022 nominee for Advance HE’s National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) or the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE).
Could you become a National Teaching Fellow?
Do you get lots of positive feedback from your students and/or colleagues? Have you had notable successes in your teaching practice? Do you influence your colleagues or your profession/discipline beyond SHU? If you can show evidence of these things you may have a claim to excellence. Are you part of a high performing team?
The Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) celebrates collaborative work in teaching and learning and captures the creative and innovative practice that positively impacts on the student experience. The awards recognise teams who have made significant impact on student outcomes and/or enabled a change in practice for colleagues at an institutional or disciplinary/professional level. For both awards your context is taken into account regarding the range and scope of impact you can be expected to have. This means that these awards open to those working in non-teaching academic and professional roles as well as those working in academic roles.
Online briefing sessions giving further information and guidance will be held on the following dates – email firstname.lastname@example.org to book a place:
- NTF briefing/workshop – Thursday 1 July, 13:00-14:30
- CATE briefing/workshop – Friday 2 July, 11:00-12:30
