MS Teams – new functionality for Course Teams!
As a part of the roll out of Microsoft Teams* to all staff and students at Hallam, a Team was created for each year of each course cohort. Course leaders, administrators and academic advisors were added to these Teams, along with the students on the course.
The course cohort Teams, provide an opportunity for student to student communication and discussion, as well as an option for staff to communicate with students. Student reps can communicate with their peers via these Teams and students can also set up group chats and hold video calls using the Meet Now functionality.
Did you know? Use the @TeamName mention in a post will send all members of that Team a notification and for those who haven’t used MS Teams, it will email them.

The Digital Skills Hub has been set up to provide staff with the information they need to use a variety of applications including Microsoft Teams. Additionally, the Digital Skills Team are available to offer support and advice on how to use Teams effectively via small group discussions, demonstrations, and workshops for staff or by supporting with the general adoption of MS Teams in your department.
