Upcoming event: Action Learning in Action

About the session

This is an interactive session for staff who would like to explore alternative means of providing academic support without spending more time doing so.

An Action Learning Set is a reflective process involving a group of peers helping each other work through issues or problems through active listening and appreciative enquiry.

During the session, you will be introduced to the basics and principles of action learning (Revans 2011) before having the opportunity to take part in an action learning set yourself.

Action Learning is a methodology used to help people work through issues that feel ‘unmanageable‘, resulting in some form of ‘action‘ to address the issue. It has been proven to help staff feel less ‘stressed‘ and more valued and supported in their work.

The session will conclude with an opportunity to discuss your experience as well as ideas on how you might use this in your programme(s).
