A reminder that the call for abstracts for the Creating Knowledge Conference 2019 closes this Friday, 22nd March at noon. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and can be submitted using this form.
The University Creating Knowledge Conference will take place on Monday 17 June 2019 at City Campus, and will provide an opportunity for our researchers to present their work associated with the Creating Knowledge research and impact platforms:
- Healthy, Independent Lives;
- Thriving, Inclusive Communities; and
- Future Economies.
There will be ample opportunity to explore the potential internal and external collaborations offered by the platforms and how they can be realised. Whether you’re already an established researcher, an early career researcher, your work supports research or you would like to get into research but aren’t sure how, the conference is open to all staff and doctoral students, so please do come along. The day will also include a doctoral showcase where students will present their work at dedicated stands during the lunch and refreshment intervals. You can register for the conference using this link.
Presentations and abstract submission
Abstracts for 15 minute oral presentations are invited from all staff and doctoral students (there will not be a poster session this year). Presentations should be pitched at the level of a generalist academic audience.
A programme committee will be convened and chaired by Professor Doug Cleaver, Director of the Doctoral School. The group will comprise representatives of the Professoriate, Early Career Researcher and Doctoral Researcher communities who will review the abstracts and make the selection for inclusion in the programme.
Queries can be directed to Researcher Development in RIO via firstname.lastname@example.org
Updates on the conference will be posted on the Creating Knowledge hub: https://blogs.shu.ac.uk/creating/conference-2019/
