Assessment Week at Sheffield Hallam offered a programme running from Monday to Thursday in the week beginning 30th April. This was a valuable opportunity to both look at the University’s Assessment Framework in more detail and look at the variety of good practice relating to assessment and feedback in the curriculum and to explore new ways.

LATTE (Learning and teaching technology exchange)
Within ACES we have put on a series of events linking to assessment and the use of technology to enhance this. The LATTE programme has provided colleagues with the opportunity to develop skills and share practice on the use of screencasting to provide students with an overview of the assessment brief and criteria as well as giving feedback. Other sessions on offer have including taking a smart approach to audio feedback, making best use of Blackboard wikis, sharing different approaches to online tests and setting up Grade Centre to enable students to see their marks on Blackboard. If you have any suggestions for workshops please contact Sue Beckingham
